Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Surgery

Pelvic-floor disorders, which are disorders that affect the muscles, ligaments, connective tissues and nerves that support the bladder, uterus, vagina and rectum, can hold you back from living the life you want. But you do not have to tolerate incontinence, displacement of your reproductive or urinary organs or other problems associated with these common but little-discussed medical problems.

The Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Surgery has the expertise to end the heavy sensation in your pelvis or bladder problems that limit your activities. We can correct organ displacement and help you get control of frequent urges to urinate, extra trips to the bathroom and loss of urine.

Our physicians are board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and have completed a three-year fellowship focusing on urogynecology and female reconstructive surgery.  This additional training helps them better understand the interworking of the bladder, uterus, vagina and rectum, and comprehensively diagnose and treat the weakened muscles and tissues that hold these organs in place.

Treatment options include physical therapy, medications and minimally-invasive surgery. Our patients also may be able to participate in research clinical trials, providing access to potential new treatments for pelvic-organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
