The treatment of patients at Christiana Care is
important to us. Providing you with support and helpful resources can add
to your trust and success of your hospital experience.
Patient Relations Mission To contribute to your
satisfaction by addressing your individual needs in a timely and respectful
manner. The information obtained through our fact-finding process is used
to improve care and operations for all.
Patient Representatives can: � Serve as your
advocate � Encourage communication between you and your treatment
team � Address your concerns � Resolve conflict or
disagreement � Keep you informed of your rights and
responsibilities � Ensure that your rights as well as the rights of all
patients and staff are respected. � Access support services according to
your individual needs. � Offer Advance Directive planning � Work
to maintain your privacy and confidentiality.

Department � Ambassador services at information desks and
family waiting lounges � Way-finding maps � Community education
sessions upon request � Discount lodging services � Promotion of
the 24/7 Language Line interpreter service � 24/7 on-site Sign Language
Interpreters � Support visits following admission by Christiana Care
Volunteers � Recognition of Christiana Care staff for Service Excellence
following receipt of patient compliments
Contact Our Department Visit our Christiana and
Wilmington Hospital offices right off the main hospital entrances on the first
floors. You are welcome to call the Wilmington Office at
428-4608 or the Christiana Office at
733-1340. Office hours are Monday through
Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
