Community Health Libraries
Free and open to the public. Christiana Care operates two community health libraries in Wilmington - one at Wilmington Hospital, 501 West 14th Street; the other at the Eugene du Pont Preventive Medicine & Rehabilitation Institute (PMRI), at the intersection of Routes 52 & 100.

The libraries' collections focus on health promotion, self-care, and chronic disease management, as well as other health care topics.

You can browse the collection of books and reference materials for topics of interest, view health videos at a VCR station in the Wilmington Library, and research health-related issues using computer-based resources. The library staff is available to help you find answers to specific questions and use the computers.

The library at the Preventive Medicine & Rehabilitation Institute is staffed by volunteers and has a self-service checkout when volunteers are not present. The volunteers can easily put patrons in contact with the librarian at Wilmington Hospital for more personalized health information.
