Center for Heart & Vascular Health leads with the latest new diagnostic capabilities

The Center for Heart & Vascular Health is leading Delaware in cardiovascular care with several new diagnostic innovations.

  • Real-time 3-D echocardiography provides physicians with a new perspective in cardiac ultrasound technology giving them images of the heart at work, non-invasively. Live, full-volume images provided by a 3-D echo offer a more accurate, close-up assessment of both complex anatomical structures and valvular function.
  • Microvolt-Level T-Wave Alternans technology, which gauges subtle electrical changes in a patient's heartbeat, provides a reliable, noninvasive way to identify patients at risk for ventricular arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death.
  • Blood Volume Analysis technology, which provides a total picture of intravascular volume, including both red cell and plasma volumes, can help optimize treatment for a variety of medical issues.

We offer a complete range of diagnostic tools and skilled experts who use them to their fullest potential. These major technological advances have revolutionized our ability to detect problems with heart structure, function and blood flow. Christiana Care offers the most advanced selection of diagnostic technologies known today for evaluating and monitoring symptoms of heart trouble.
