Christiana Care Residency Programs offer an excellent environment for the study of dentistry, with interface among all medical departments. Our strengths are in our teaching, which covers state-of-the-art techniques in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and dentistry, and in our vast and varied clinical exposure to patients.

Christiana Care is one of the nation's largest teaching institutions and a major tertiary-care health system. We are a regional referral center for Delaware and surrounding states, as well as a major provider of primary medical and dental care for local residents.

Christiana Care is Delaware's only Level-I trauma center. Our oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) residents benefit in that Christiana Care Residency Programs are not offered in otorhinolaryngology or plastic surgery, affording them the unique opportunity to gain experience in all areas of head and neck surgery without jurisdictional issues.
