TitleA Phase 2/3, randomized, double-blind, multicenter, multinational, 4-arm, controlled, dose-ranging study to evaluate efficacy and safety of MGA031, a humanized, FcR non-binding, anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody, in children and adults with recent-onset Type 1 diabetes mellitus (26227).
Purpose The purpose of this study is to find out if an experimental drug called MGA031 (also called hOKT3gamma-1 [Ala-Ala]) improves control of sugar in the blood, decreases the need for insulin and is safe for people with Type 1 diabetes mellitus.
Qualifications
  • Have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in the last 12 weeks.
  • Are between 8 and 35 years of age.
