OB/GYN Clinical Trials
These are among the clinical trials and studies currently open:
| Title | A Study of Fetal Growth in Twin Gestations |
| Purpose |
The purpose of this study is to establish a standard for normal fetal growth by observing the growth and development of twin babies inside the womb during pregnancy. This study will result in a reliable growth standard that will allow doctors to better monitor the health of both the babies and the mother during the pregnancy, and to tell the difference between normal and abnormal twin fetal growth in pregnancy. |
| Qualifications |
- Between 11 and 13 weeks, 6 days.
- Twin pregnancy.
- Maternal age between 18 and 45 years.
|
| Benefits |
This research study is designed to benefit society by gaining new knowledge about fetal growth. The study may have significant benefits for all pregnant women and their babies. The data obtained will let us update the standards for the growth of babies during pregnancy. With these improved standards, doctors will be able to better interpret the results of ultrasound examinations and provide more appropriate care throughout pregnancy.Patients will receive up to six free 3D ultrasounds and travel reimbursement. |

| Title | NICHD Nulliparous Pregnancy Outcomes Study Monitoring Mothers-to-be (nuMoM2b Study) |
| Purpose |
The purpose of this research is to study pregnant women who have never given birth to a baby. For these women, doctors do not have information from a previous birth to know who might have a problem with their pregnancy. This study is looking for tests that can identify which ones might have a problem; then, in the future, health providers will be better prepared to help them and their babies to be healthy. |
| Qualifications |
- You must be less than 14 weeks pregnant and never given birth to a baby.
|
| Benefits |
- Ultrasound exams will be performed
- Travel Reimbursement
- We may learn how to improve birth outcomes for women in the future.
