The major blocks of training for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship will take place at both Christiana and Wilmington hospitals, located just 15 minutes apart. A high-volume cardiology service with 54 cardiologists on staff will offer ample opportunity for diverse and challenging inpatient, outpatient and continuity experiences. In addition, one rotation (SSF-2 year) in congenital heart disease will take place at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, a tertiary care pediatrics hospital located 20 minutes from Christiana Care, in Wilmington, DE. It is a major pediatric teaching hospital for the combined Jefferson Medical College/Alfred I. duPont /Christiana Care pediatric residency training program.
