Application Process

The PM&S-36 residency is fully accredited by the CPME until the spring of 2010. We accept one resident per year and currently have three residents in training. Christiana Care participates in the Central Application Service for Podiatric Residencies (CASPR) and abides by its rules and regulations. Additional information about CASPR and applying to the residency at Christiana Care is available at the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine Web site at www.aacpm.org.

Interviews are held at the Eastern CRIP in December. In considering applicants, we review academic records, letters of recommendation, national board scores, publications, honors, extracurricular activities, and the applicant's stated interests and plans. We consider students from all colleges of podiatric medicine and are not limited to accepting only those students who have participated in the Christiana Care externship. Interested students are encouraged to visit Christiana Care, however that is not a mandatory requirement for selection.
