Insurance Coverage
Home care may be covered my Medicare if:
- It is ordered by your physician.
- It meets skilled care criteria.
- You have difficulty leaving home due to a functional disability or medical condition.
- You meet coverage criteria.
Most private insurance plans have a home-care benefit. Benefits vary with each plan, but most insurers follow the same eligibility requirements as Medicare, which include a doctor's order and an identified skilled need.
