Timothy Wozniak, M.D.
Timothy F. Wozniak, M.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist for the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and a partner in Regional Hematology and Oncology, P.A.
Dr. Wozniak has a particular interest in medical oncology and hospice care and specializes in the treatment of breast cancer, colorectal cancer and Palliative Care. He is also board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics and hospice and palliative medicine, serving as director of Compassionate Care Hospice.
An accomplished researcher and author of many scientific and clinical papers, Dr. Wozniak is a principal investigator for the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), one of several research bases included in the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) at Christiana Care.
The NCI-funded CCOP plays a critical part enrolling patients in clinical studies for every major type of cancer. The CCOP has ongoing clinical trials in different cancer types, including breast, lung, colon, rectum and prostate cancers.
A 1971 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Dr. Wozniak completed his residency and internship in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital from 1971 to 1974. In 1976, he completed a fellowship in medical oncology at Brown University.
During his distinguished career at Christiana Care and in private practice, Dr. Wozniak has received a number of clinical and academic appointments and honors.
Dr. Wozniak is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care Physicians and many other national and local medical societies and organizations.
