Application Process
Christiana Care residency programs consistently fill more than 95 percent of residency positions in the National Resident Matching Program. Residency programs now require applications be submitted electronically using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
The following programs require a different application process:
- General Practice Dentistry
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
- Pharmacy Practice
- Podiatric Medicine & Surgery-36
Application and interviews
In considering applications for our programs, we review:
- Academic records
- Dean's office letters of recommendation
- National board scores
- Publications and honors
- Applicant's state interests and plans.
Interviews for specific department appointments begin in October or November. Candidates are interviewed by the department chair or program directory, as well as other faculty members. Tours of our facilities are conducted by current residents. You'll find numerous affordable accommodations during your visit to Christiana Care.
