The fully CARF-accredited Center for Rehabilitation at Wilmington Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to adult patients. Our goal is to help you regain your independence and quality of life after an injury or illness through advanced rehabilitation therapy. Our expert team is skilled, caring and equipped to handle a variety of medical conditions, including:

  • Stroke.
  • Trauma.
  • Brain injuries.
  • Neurologic disorders.
  • Fractures and other orthopaedic conditions.
  • Spinal cord injuries.
  • Joint replacements.
  • Amputations.

Our 40-bed rehabilitation unit is led by a dedicated, interdisciplinary team of professionals who work with you and your family to develop a highly personalized treatment plan, set goals and help you regain functional skills you may have lost.

A doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation works with the entire rehabilitation team to assess your therapy needs and help speed your recovery. The team of experts includes:

The most advanced therapy available

Designed to maximize your independence, the Center for Rehabilitation offers a full range of acute rehabilitation services and features the latest in barrier-free and advanced rehabilitation technologies. The rehabilitation unit occupies an entire floor of Wilmington Hospital, allowing for the nursing and therapy staff to have continuous communication with you, your family and other caregivers. At 61,000 square feet, our therapy space is one of the largest in the region. It includes multiple areas that simulate real-world environments—including a residential apartment and a street environment—that allow you to practice everyday living skills.
