Pap Smear (Pap Tests)
Getting regularly scheduled pap smears is an effective method for preventing and detecting cancer of the cervix, the cylinder of tissue that connects the vagina and uterus.
A pap smear is a simple, painless test to screen for precancerous lesions on the cervix, as well as actual cancer.
Pap smears also save lives. Cervical cancer progresses very slowly and pap smears alert doctors to abnormal cells that can be treated before they actually become cancerous. In the last 50 years, due to widespread screening, the incidence of cervical cancer has fallen almost 50 percent in the United States.
Hysterectomy
If you’re suffering from symptoms such as heavy, frequent periods, uterine fibroids, a prolapsed womb or cancer of the vagina and related systems, you may need to undergo a hysterectomy to remove the womb. As one of the most common gynecological operations, we are able to guide and support you throughout the entire process so that you can remain calm, confident and healthy at all times.
