Christiana Hospital Main Entrance Renovation: Sept. 2–Nov. 21, 2025

We’re improving your experience at Christiana Hospital. The main hospital entrance is being renovated to enhance safety, accessibility and flow for all who visit.

What to expect:

During construction, the main hospital entrance will be temporarily rerouted—visitor parking will remain available, handicapped-accessible spaces will be clearly marked, and updated signage and staff will help guide you safely to your destination.

We appreciate your patience as we work to create a more welcoming and accessible entrance. This project reflects our commitment to being exceptional today and even better tomorrow.

Self parking is free

Free self-parking.
Handicapped parking on the first level.
Covered DART stop on the first level.

Surface Lots

Free self-parking.
Surface lots include handicapped parking.

Shuttle Service

Courtesy shuttles are available from clearly marked shuttle stops at lots B and C to the main entrance and to the Center for Heart & Vascular Health entrance. To request the on-campus shuttle, visit the main entrance information desk.
Free shuttle service is available between the Christiana and Wilmington Hospital campuses. Daily shuttle passes are available at the information desk for patients who have an appointment at the other campus and visitors to patients at the other campus.

Valet Service

Valet parking costs $8 per day, but is free for patients and visitors with handicapped hangtags or license plates
Valet staff are available to park cars Monday-Friday, 6 am to 6 pm
You may pick up your car until 8 pm. After 8 pm, pick up is at the Women's and Children's Building front desk

Parking at Wilmington Hospital

Free self-parking.
Parking for the emergency department, lab, and pulmonary function testing is located at the Emergency Level G on Chamberlain Street.
Visitors to the pharmacy should park in the Visitor Garage.

Shuttle Service

On-campus shuttles are available seven days a week for patients and visitors. To request it, ask a patient guide or visit the information desk.
Free shuttle service is available between the Christiana and Wilmington Hospital campuses. Daily shuttle passes are available at the information desk for patients who have an appointment at the other campus and visitors to patients at the other campus.

Valet Service

Valet service is available on weekdays at the main entrance and costs $8 a day.
Valet staff are available to park cars Monday-Friday, 6 am-6 pm at the Main Entrance on Jefferson Street.
After 6 pm, pick up is at the Emergency Department entrance.
